Microsoft Outlook 2000 EMail Setup

  • Click on Tools in the menu bar, go down and click on Services.



  • Here you will see a list of services, if Internet e-mail appears in your list of services Highlight it and click on properties, than jump to step 4. You will need to add Internet e-mail if it does not appear here, click on add.



  • Highlight Internet e-mail and than click on OK.



  • You should now have an Internet mail properties screen. In the name field insert your name the way you wish it to appear when someone receives an email from you. The organization field can be left blank, the email address field should appear as your username@mail.a5.com the reply address field can be left blank.



  • Click on the Servers tab. Incoming Mail (POP3) should read mail.a5.com Outgoing Mail (SMTP) should read mail.a5.com as well. Account name will be your username, which is the same as the beginning of your email address, and the password will only appear as asterisks. Check Remember password if you do not wish to have to enter your password each time you wish to send or receive mail. You must have the check in My server requires authentication under Outgoing Mail Server.



  • Click on Apply and than OK, you will now get the following screen, click on OK.



  • Click on OK in your services screen, which will now appear like this.



  • Close out of your Microsoft Outlook and re-open to begin using your new mail account.
