Our Process - Graphics Terms
Cleanup (of an image) - Some files (scanned hard copies such as business cards, letterheads, newspaper ads, etc., and unrefined or ill-formatted digital files) may necessitate extensive cleanup and/or re-rendering, beyond the scope of simple refinement. Cleanup of images is billable at standard hourly rate ($100/hr).
Custom (of an image) - This involves creating an image where none currently exists using verbal, sketched and/or minimal or no conceptual guides. Fees for custom logo images are specified below, for other images/graphics, the standard hourly rate applies.
Print-ready - Print-ready images are high quality 300-600dpi+ (dots per inch) images that can be effectively used in print or other media.
Refinement (of an image) - Many images will require some 'tweaking' before they can be put into their final form. This includes things such as simple cropping, and other basic tasks that may be required to make an otherwise perfect image file fit into place on the Web. Basic refinement of images is expected and does not involve any charge.
Treatment (of an image) - This involves creating a 'stylized' version of an image that will reflect obvious alterations or effects applied to the original, such as beveling, drop shadows, lens flares, etc. Fees for treatment of logo images is specified below, for other images/graphics, the standard hourly rate applies ($100/hr).
